Employment Training Panel (ETP)

ETP is a business labor program to retrain workers. ETP funds training that meet the needs of employers for skilled workers and the needs of workers for good long-term jobs. This employer-supported training is for new workers and retraining workers in danger of being laid off as a result of technological advancements in the workplace and because of foreign and domestic competition.

EDA Workforce Development can assist or assume your employee recruitment and training efforts. EDA Workforce Development professionals will: Analyze your human resource needs Develop hiring criteria Advertise for your employee recruitment Screen applicants Test and assess applicants Provide training programs Conduct new employee orientations Not only are these services free of charge, in many instances businesses are eligible for additional savings. If locating in an Enterprise Zone, businesses may receive state tax credits of up to $19,110 per eligible employee over a five-year period. Exact amounts are calculated on a percentage of the employee's hourly pay.

Specialized Community College training is offered in Temecula through the Universities of California Riverside and San Diego, and Mt. San Jacinto Community College.

Regional Occupational Programs (ROP)
The ROP program offers career preparation training to high school and adult students. Classes are a combination of classroom instruction and on-the-job training taught by professionals.
