The Building and Safety Department provides plan review and construction inspection services to enforce minimum standards to safeguard life or limb, health, property and public welfare by regulating and controlling the design, construction, quality of materials, use and occupancy, location and maintenance of all buildings and structures.

The design and construction of all structures shall be in full compliance with Title 15 of the Temecula Municipal Code, which adopts but is not limited to the codes which are adopted by reference as the building codes of the City of Temecula.
