Planning Applications and Fees

Pre-Applications

To help facilitate the planning process, the City of Temecula offers a Pre-Application review of any land use or development project before a formal planning application is submitted to the City for review. The Pre-Application review does not require a fee or submittal appointment and is intended to provide quick feedback to project applicants before they submit a formal planning application to the City.

You can submit your pre-application over the counter at the Planning Department Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Submitting a formal Planning Application

The Planning Department requires an appointment to be made when submitting a formal planning application. At the time of the appointment a planner will spend about 30-45 minutes going over the application, plan sets and other submittal documents in order to ensure that the application is complete and can be processed in the most expedient manner.

Appointments are usually scheduled 1-2 days after an appointment request is made. To schedule an appointment please call the Senior Planner at (951) 506-5159.
