City Council & Commissions


City Council Members

The City Council is the elected body of City Government. The City Council is a five member, non-partisan board, elected at large from the citizens of Temecula.

Community Services Commission Members

The Community Services Commission reviews and makes recommendations to the City Council concerning the Parks and Recreation Element of the General Plan and works with the Temecula School District, other City Departments and community groups to provide parks and recreation services and programs for the community.

Planning Commission Members

The Planning Commission serves as the designated planning agency for the City of Temecula and meets formally twice each month to consider current planning matters such as subdivisions, specific plans, zone changes, plot plans and to conduct Public Hearings as required by law.

Public/Traffic Safety Commission Members

The Public/Traffic Safety Commission makes recommendations to the City Council on traffic matters within the City such as speed zones, stop signs and signals, pavement markings, traffic design and engineering.

Old Town Local Review Board

The Old Town Local Review Board is established by the Old Town Specific Plan and has specific responsibility for serving as an advisory resource to all agencies of the City in matters pertaining to the historic significance and related architectural themes of the historic district.
