The City's IT Department is committed to enabling the City to grow and become more efficient in the delivery of service and value the City's employees, citizens and visitors. To accomplish this, the IT department will continue to explore emerging technologies as well as examine existing business processes to determine if those processes need to be modified to fit new technologies or if new technologies need to be adapted to improve existing processes.
Key initiatives that the IT Department is currently working on include:
- Implementation of ILM (Information Life Cycle Management)
- Standardization of Community Development Core Business System
- E-Government
- New Library Implementation
- Upgrade to ARCSDE application/server
