The Public Works Land Development Division invites you to attend a Public Workshop for the Grading, Erosion & Sediment Control Ordinance and the Administrative & Technical Procedures Manual. The workshop will be held in the Council Chambers located at City Hall on Wednesday, May 28th, 2008 from 6:00–8:00pm.
The workshop will be hosted by Dan York, our Deputy Director of Public Works / City Engineer and will be conducted in an open house format with a brief PowerPoint presentation. Draft versions of the Ordinance and Manual are available on our website for viewing prior to the actual workshop.
The Grading Ordinance & Manual was originally adopted May 11, 2004 per City Ordinance 04-04. However, this update is necessary for, but not limited to, the following reasons:
- To reflect the adoption of the new California Building Code;
- To incorporate the new WQMP development requirements;
- To clarify certain portions so that the Ordinance and Manual better mirror each other.
The purpose of this workshop is to present and receive feedback on these drafts before they are adopted. Therefore, public input allows City staff to gather information from the development community that may be included in this or future updates.
We certainly understand that your schedule may not permit you to attend the public workshop; however, we would still appreciate any feedback from your review of the draft versions on our website. You may submit any comments or concerns by mail to City of Temecula, Public Works Department, Attn: Wendy Miller, 43200 Business Park Dr., Temecula, CA 92590, or by phone at (951) 694-6411, or by e-mail wendy.miller@cityoftemecula.org. If you are able to attend, please RSVP to Wendy Miller via phone or e-mail.
