DICKENS OF A CHRISTMAS
Experience the holiday season of yesteryear, as Old Town Temecula welcomes Santa Claus with grand homespun Saturday, November 18. That jolly ol’Elf arrives straight from a Norma Rockwell painting dressed Christmas red velvet, aboard a horse drawn carriage at noon. Witness his grand entrance down Old Town Front Street, as turn-of-the century Christmas Carolers serenade Santa while riding on a bright red horse-drawn sleigh.
This is Old Town Temecula’s tenth annual holiday celebration where shops come alive with holiday lights, festive displays, and holiday cheer. Children can be honorary reindeer, as Old Town Temecula elves will be passing out special reindeer antlers.
Old Town Temecula boasts over 100 antique dealers and curios shops, plus a variety of fine dining. The old western town comes alive during the holiday season, with many of the stores known for their holiday displays and unique gift selections. Dickens characters and a variety of holiday musicians will entertain every weekend November 18 through December 17.
Kids can also enter the children’s coloring contest at Santa’s Workshop or pick up an entry blank from Expressions Gifts on Main Street. For more information and a complete schedule of entertainment contact the City of Temecula, (951) 694-6412 or www.temeculacalifornia.com
