The Heartsaver First Aid Course consists of 4 sections. Three sections are considered mandatory: "General Principles", "Medical Emergencies", and "Injury Emergencies". The one elective section is "Environmental Emergencies".
Students will learn about and the treatment for:
- Breathing problems
- Chest pain and heart attack
- Fainting
- Diabetes, stroke, seizure, bleeding and shock, head injuries, injuries to bones, joints, and muscles, bites, stings, poisoning, heat or cold emergencies, and burns.
Students will be expected to perform all skills taught in the class. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be issued a certification card. Date: December 15, 2007 February 16, 2008 April 26, 2008 June 21, 2008 August 16, 2008 October 11, 2008 December 13, 2008
Time: 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Cost: $25.00 Location: Fire Station 84, 30650 Pauba Road, Temecula Attire: Please dress in comfortable clothing; you will be practicing skills.
