Group Reservation Information

A group consists of 25 or more.
Group admission: $3.50 per person

  • A deposit of $35.00 per date reserved is required for final approval
  • A complete field trip package will be mailed after receipt of your deposit
  • Groups or classes that require separate receipts must make separate reservations
The Imagination Workshop does not guarantee admission to any group that has not made an advance reservation. Admission is based on space and availability. Unscheduled or unconfirmed reservations are not eligible for our group rate and if admitted will be required to pay our current general admission rate of $4.50 per person. 


On the day of your visit

Arrive early if the children will be eating a snack or their lunch before entering the professor’s house. Please wait until the children have finished before checking in with your greeter.

Allow extra time for your group to gather if you are traveling by carpool. Your entire group should be at the Museum before checking in with your greeter.

Check In
  • Please follow instructions that will be given to you by your greeter on the day of your visit.
  • Your group should assemble on the front porch beginning at the front of the house. Upon arrival, please have the group leader come to the desk to check in.
  • Your group leader will be given a form to turn into the front desk with the number of children and adults in your group. Please be sure of these numbers; refunds are not available.
  • Your group leader will report to the front desk with the above mentioned form; pay the balance due and turn in group reservation agreement. All other teachers and chaperones should stay outside with your group.

Before your Field Trip 
  • Designate a group leader
  • The group leader must attend the field trip
  • The group leader is one teacher or adult who has been designated as your primary contact to the museum during your group’s visit. If your group consists of more than one class, please select one teacher to represent all your classes.
  • All correspondence from the Museum should be given to the group leader.
  • He/She is responsible for notifying all teachers and museum staff of any changes made to your reservation regarding the field trip date or changes in your group size.
  • Only the group leader should report to the front desk to check in your group. All other teachers and chaperones should stay outside with your group.
  • We recommend the group leader bring his/her confirmation letter.
  • The group leader will be responsible for balance due at the front desk. We accept Visa, MasterCard, checks or cash. Sorry, no purchase orders.
  • Your Chaperones:
    Chaperones must be 18 years of age or older.
  • We require one adult chaperone is required for every five children. 
  • Chaperones are responsible for the behavior of the children they are supervising while in the professor’s house – please stay with the children in your group and be available should they have questions or require your assistance.
  • The group leader should give your chaperone a copy of the Chaperone’s Guidelines (included in packet).

House Etiquette:
While visiting the Professor’s house, good behavior and consideration of others are expected from the children and adults in your group. 

  • Children must stay with their chaperone while in the house.
  • For safety reasons, we ask all visitors to walk while in the house.
  • Food and drinks are not allowed in the exhibit areas of the house.
  • No gum allowed in the house.
About your Visit
Your visit to Imagination Workshop is scheduled for a 90-minute block of time.

The Museum does not provide guided tours, but should you require assistance, please locate one of the professor’s assistants.

Restrooms during your session time are located in the back of the professor’s house. Before or after your designated session time, please use the restrooms located in the courtyard of our beautiful Old Town Temecula Community Theater.

Pennypickle’s Store
  • Pennypickle’s offers a variety of popular items at affordable prices.
  • To avoid crowding, we recommend children visit the store in small groups (10 children at a time) and space their visits throughout your stay.
  • An adult must accompany children when visiting the store.
  • Please remind the children that although the Professor loves it when they touch everything in the museum, the items in the store are for sale.
Lunch/Snack Area
  • Groups may eat lunch in the grassy area adjacent to the house.
The Imagination Workshop is not responsible for lost or stolen items left unattended inside or outside the house.

Group Confirmation Information
Group admission is $3.50 per person
Group visits are self-guided and are limited to 90 minutes in the house.

To qualify as a group:
  • Your group must consist of 25 people or more (children and/or adults) but cannot exceed 65 people.
  • A deposit of $35.00 per reservation must be received within 10 days of your request to confirm your reservation. Our group rate is available for confirmed reservations only. All reservations are on a first come, first served basis.
Chaperone Guidelines
Chaperoning at the Imagination Workshop can be a rewarding experience for both the chaperones and the children. In order to accomplish this, the museum requests your help….your supervision is required to monitor and maintain the good behavior and safety of the children you are supervising.

Responsibilities of a chaperone:
  • While in the professor’s house, you are required to stay with the children assigned to you and guide them through the exhibits.
  • It is your responsibility to maintain the good behavior and safety of the children in your care…or…under your supervision.
Behavior in the Professor’s house:
  • Just like visiting a friend, the professor’s house and his exhibits should be treated with respect.
  • Please be considerate of other visitors or groups
  • Please encourage children to use walking feet and inside voices while in the professor’s house.
  • The professor’s pet mouse, Beaker, is on a strict diet; therefore, food and drinks are not permissible in the house.
About your visit
  • Your visit is 90 minutes in length. It is a self-guided tour with museum assistants available throughout the house to answer any questions you might have.
  • Restrooms are available in the house during your 90 minutes session. They are located at the back of the house. Prior to and after your session time, restrooms are available next door in the theater courtyard.
  • Groups may eat their lunch on the picnic tables located in the grassy area across the parking lot.

Suggestions for chaperones:
  • Get involved, go ahead push buttons, turn dials, play with the exhibits. Watching you play, will encourage the children to explore and learn.
  • Let the children lead the way; offer assistance as needed
  • Let the children explore, but let them know you need to be able to see them at all times.
Your help and cooperation is greatly appreciated and will make you experience at the professor’s house more enjoyable!

Notice of Cancellation
This notice of cancellation must be received six weeks or more prior to your scheduled field trip for your deposit to be refunded.

To cancel you field trip, please fill in and mail or fax this form to the Imagination Workshop. 


Payment
The final payment for your group’s admission is due on the day of your field trip.
  • You group will be charged for the actual number of children and adults that attend your field trip (your deposit of $35.00 has prepaid for 10 visitors and will be subtracted from your balance due).
  • Please collect all admission fees from the children and chaperones attending the field trip before reporting to the front counter. Individuals paying for their own admission or checking in separately from the rest of the group will be charged our current general admission of $4.50 per person.

Acceptable forms of payment
Purchase orders will not be accepted. The museum does not send an invoice after your field trip. Please be prepared to pay the balance due when you check your group in.

    • Your check should be made payable to: the City of Temecula
    • Personal checks will be accepted for the exact amount only.

Receipts
Groups or classes needing separate receipts must make separate reservations.

Prepayment
No prepayment will be accepted

Refund for overpayment
A check will be mailed for refunds over $35.00.

Cancellation
The Imagination Workshop must receive written notice to cancel your reservation. Your cancellation notice must be mailed, faxed or e-mailed six weeks prior to your scheduled trip.

On the day of your visit, you will need the following:

  • Please make sure you have the final payment ready to bring with you to the Museum. We accept the following forms of payment: Cash, check (business or personal) made payable to the City of Temecula; Credit card (Visa & Mastercard). We do not accept purchase orders for payment.

  • Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled entry time to allow time for check in and to receive a brief orientation.
